A Lifetime of Printmaking Exhibition ..

2024 Barton Upon Humber etching exhi Humber Bridge linocuts printmaking The Ropewalk

Delighted to say I  will be exhibiting about 50 of my original linocuts and etchings at the beautiful Ropewalk in Barton Upon Humber from 13 January to 3 March 2024

It will show a range of work from my lifetime of printmaking - mostly from the last decade.

A chance for anyone further North to see a range of my work.

Printmaking for just over 40 years she has won several prizes for her work and been hung in prestigious galleries. Including the Royal Academy and the Mall Galleries.

The exhibition would be full of techniques, colour, textures, pattern and technical know how.

“I use a variety of techniques but recently have concentrated on linocuts & etchings.  I draw inspiration from my environment and try to capture the essence of a place. My images usually start with a sketch and I like the print to evolve as I create it - not working out too much detail in advance, but using my many years of experience to let the image develop in the direction it happens to take me at that particular time. This helps keep the work more painterly and expressive.
I believe that an original print should not be a reproduction of something else but should express the textures and qualities characteristic in the method used.”
