News — Royal Academy Summer Exhibition

So excited to say I have my linocut "Rise of Female Artists" accepted for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2021 Book tickets this link  Its a different subject for me but something I had been wanting to work on - without Lockdown it may never have developed the way it has - it took a long time creating and is complex to print - it a colour linocut printed onto canvas and mounted on wood.  Its hard to photograph as its 5 feet tall and narrow - hopefully I will get a good pic of it in the RA I am included...

How fantastic to be sent photos of my work that was bought at the RA Summer Exhibition, then sent to the buyer, then images of it in situ sent to me Thank you John Higgins it looks perfect.  Another buyer said on receiving it "Recieved and more beautiful than I remember"  so nice to get feedback :)  You have until January to visit the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and see it there  and it can be viewed in my studio - see earlier post on Open Studios. So delighted to be accepted into the RA Summer Exhibition for the third time. Yesterday was Varnishing Day - what a fabulous experience - arriving to meet in the RA Courtyard with Steel Band playing which we followed to the Church for the  Artists Service then back to see the show for the first time. My linocut "Rise of Female Artists" is a linocut printed onto canvas and mounted on board - its 5 feet long. Great to meet up with some old artist friends and to meet new ones.  Coordinated by Yinko Shonibare titled "Reclaiming Magic" - I think...
